...HAZARD NOAA WEATHER TRANSMITTER WILL HAVE PERIODS OF INTERMITTENT
LOW POWER DUE TO TOWER WORK...

KIH40 FROM HAZARD...WHICH BROADCASTS ON A FREQUENCY OF 162.475
MHZ...WILL HAVE PERIODS OF INTERMITTENT LOW POWER STARTING THIS
MORNING MONDAY...MAY 6TH AND WILL CONTINUE DURING THE NEXT 3 TO 4
WEEKS...WEATHER PERMITTING. THE TRANSMITTER WILL BE SET TO LOW POWER
DUE TO TOWER WORK BEING PERFORMED AND TO LIMIT EXPOSURE OF THE
MAINTENANCE CREW TO RF RADIATION. THERE WILL ALSO BE OUTAGE PERIODS
WHEN THE CLIMBERS ARE IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THE ANTENNA. THE
TRANSMITTER WILL BE BACK TO FULL POWER WHEN THE TOWER WORK IS
COMPLETED.
