...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT CENTRAL POWELL...MONTGOMERY...
SOUTHERN BATH AND WESTERN MENIFEE COUNTIES...

At 620 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Stanton, moving
north at 25 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph and nickel size hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Mount Sterling, Stanton, Owingsville, Frenchburg, Jeffersonville,
Camargo, Clay City, Salt Lick, Campsites in the Indian Creek area of
the Daniel Boone National Forrest, Clay Lick, Levee, Bowen, Cornwell,
Rothwell, Olympia Springs, Flat Creek, Bourbon Furnace, Fagan, Virden
and Crooks.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
