...STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS TO AFFECT EASTERN KENTUCKY LATE TONIGHT
THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING...
...A SIGNIFICANT SEVERE WEATHER OUTBREAK POSSIBLE SUNDAY AFTERNOON
AND EVENING...

A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL SHIFT SOUTHWARD TOWARDS THE OHIO RIVER
VALLEY TONIGHT AND SUNDAY...BRINGING WITH IT A SIGNIFICANT INCREASE
IN TEMPERATURES...HUMIDITY...AND INSTABILITY. THE COMBINATION OF
THESE FACTORS WILL ALLOW FOR AN ENVIRONMENT CAPABLE OF PRODUCING
STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS LATE TONIGHT AND ESPECIALLY SUNDAY
INTO SUNDAY EVENING.

THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT IS EXPECTED TO COME IN TWO WAVES. THE
INITIAL THREAT WILL ARRIVE BETWEEN 3 AM AND 9 AM SUNDAY MORNING AS A
COMPLEX OF THUNDERSTORMS IS EXPECTED TO DIVE SOUTHEAST INTO EAST
KENTUCKY. THE PRIMARY SEVERE WEATHER THREAT WITH THESE THUNDERSTORMS
LATE TONIGHT INTO EARLY SUNDAY MORNING WILL BE DAMAGING WIND GUSTS AS
WELL AS LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL. THE SECOND MORE SIGNIFICANT SEVERE
WEATHER THREAT WILL THEN OCCUR BETWEEN NOON AND 9 PM ON SUNDAY.
LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING WIND GUSTS...LOCALIZED FLASH FLOODING...AS
WELL AS ISOLATED TORNADOES WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH ANY THUNDERSTORMS
THAT DEVELOP DURING THIS TIME FRAME.
