...ACCUMULATING SNOW POSSIBLE ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND THURSDAY...

A STORM SYSTEM WILL TRACK SOUTH OF THE REGION ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT
AND THURSDAY. MOISTURE WRAPPING AROUND THIS SYSTEM WILL LIKELY BRING
ACCUMULATING SNOW FROM WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO THURSDAY.

AT THIS POINT...ONE TO THREE INCHES APPEAR POSSIBLE FROM THE
MOUNTAIN PARKWAY SOUTH...WITH LIGHTER ACCUMULATIONS FURTHER NORTH
CLOSER TO THE INTERSTATE 64 CORRIDOR. HOWEVER...CURRENT TRENDS
INDICATE THAT THE ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE IN LOCATIONS NEAR THE
TENNESSEE AND VIRGINIA BORDERS. ACROSS THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS ABOVE
2500 FEET IN THE CUMBERLAND MOUNTAINS...LOCALIZED ACCUMULATIONS
AROUND 4 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE.

THIS SNOWFALL WILL BRING POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS TRAVEL AND LONGER
TRAVEL TIMES FOR THE THURSDAY MORNING COMMUTE. THOSE PLANNING TO
TRAVEL ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND THURSDAY MORNING SHOULD SLOW DOWN
AND ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO REACH YOUR DESTINATION AND MONITOR THE
LATEST FORECASTS.

VISIT OUR INTERNET WEBSITE AT WWW.WEATHER.GOV/JKL OR LISTEN TO
NOAA WEATHER RADIO OR YOUR LOCAL MEDIA FOR THE LATEST UPDATES ON
THIS UPCOMING WINTER WEATHER SITUATION.
