...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT HARLAN...NORTHEASTERN BELL...
NORTHEASTERN KNOX...SOUTHERN LESLIE AND SOUTHEASTERN CLAY COUNTIES...

At 857 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Erose, or 11
miles northeast of Pineville, moving east at 40 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph and dime size hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Barbourville, Harlan, Loyall, Evarts, Wallins Creek, Bobs Creek,
Sandy Fork, Bledsoe, Dizney, Coldiron, Black Snake, Erose, Blanche,
Napier, Rella, Shields, Ice Cliff, Avis, Black Mountain and Dewitt.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
