THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN JACKSON HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR FREEZING RAIN WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM
EST THIS MORNING. ADDITIONALLY...A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR
SNOW REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING UNTIL 6 PM TUESDAY.

* A PERIOD OF LIGHT RAIN AND FREEZING RAIN IS EXPECTED TO OCCUR
  THROUGH 9 AM THIS MORNING. TEMPERATURES WILL THEN RISE TO ABOVE
  FREEZING AFTER 9 AM...ENDING THIS THREAT. RAIN SHOWERS WILL
  CHANGE TO SNOW SHOWERS BY THIS EVENING...AND TEMPERATURES WILL
  FALL BELOW FREEZING. SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE AT TIMES INTO
  THE DAY TUESDAY...AND THEN BEGIN TO TAPER OFF.

* A LIGHT GLAZE OF ICE WILL BE POSSIBLE ON SOME BRIDGES AND
  OVERPASSES EARLY THIS MORNING...PARTICULARLY ALONG SHADED
  AREAS. SNOW WILL ACCUMULATE OVER A PROLONGED PERIOD FROM THIS
  EVENING THROUGH TUESDAY...WITH TOTALS BY LATE TUESDAY IN THE 2
  TO 3 INCH RANGE FOR MOST LOCATIONS.

* AS TEMPERATURES FALL BELOW FREEZING...ROADS AND WALKWAYS WILL
  BECOME SLIPPERY...ESPECIALLY THOSE WHICH ARE UNTREATED.
