.ANOTHER STORM SYSTEM WILL TAKE AIM AT EASTERN KENTUCKY EARLY THIS
EVENING AND CONTINUE THROUGH SATURDAY. PRECIPITATION WILL
INITIALLY BEGIN AS SNOW ACROSS THE AREA...HOWEVER AS WARMER AIR
ALOFT MOVES IN LATE TONIGHT INTO SATURDAY...A CHANGEOVER TO SLEET
AND FREEZING RAIN WILL OCCUR...WITH SIGNIFICANT SNOW AND ICE
ACCUMULATIONS EXPECTED.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN JACKSON HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM
WARNING FOR SNOW AND SLEET...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS
EVENING TO 7 PM EST SATURDAY. THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER
IN EFFECT.

* SNOW WILL DEVELOP FRIDAY EVENING...THEN TRANSITION TO A MIX OF
  SNOW...SLEET...FREEZING RAIN...AND RAIN DURING THE DAY ON
  SATURDAY. THE PRECIPITATION WILL THEN GRADUALLY DIMINISH
  SATURDAY NIGHT.

* SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS OF FOUR TO SIX INCHES ARE EXPECTED.
  ADDITIONALLY...A LIGHT COATING OF ICE WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE.

* TRAVEL WILL BECOME HAZARDOUS TONIGHT INTO SATURDAY. THE HEAVY
  AND WET NATURE OF THE SNOW AND SLEET WILL ALSO BRING THE THREAT
  OF POWER OUTAGES. IN ADDITION...DEEP SNOW ACCUMULATION ON ROOFS
