Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western
and North Central Nebraska
National Weather Service North Platte NE
239 PM CDT Fri Oct 20 2017

.DISCUSSION...

Other than a few rain showers late tonight across the Sandhills,
the next several days will be dry and rather breezy. Relative
humidity will approach 20 percent Saturday across the panhandle
and most of the region Sunday. Gusty south winds this afternoon
and evening will rapidly transition to northwesterly overnight as
a cold front drops through the area. Winds then turn westerly on
Sunday, which would be favorable for slightly drier and warmer
conditions than forecast. Critical fire weather conditions are not
expected currently, but concerns are elevated.
