Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western
and North Central Nebraska
National Weather Service North Platte NE
209 PM CDT Thu Aug 17 2017

.DISCUSSION...

Isolated thunderstorms expected late this afternoon and tonight.
Initial chances will be in the eastern Panhandle and far western
NEB mid-late afternoon then spreading eastward across the
remainder of western and north central Nebraska this evening and
late tonight. No significant rainfall is expected from
thunderstorms though stronger storms will be capable of brief
moderate to heavy rain.

Seasonal highs are expected tomorrow with a dry forecast in
place. However, minimum afternoon humidity is expected to fall
between 20 and 30 percent in western NEB, driest in the eastern
Panhandle (fire weather zone 204). Only modest light breezes out
of the northwest are expected tomorrow though. On Saturday,
slightly drier in the eastern Panhandle and winds will be out of
the south/southwest with breezes remaining light.
