THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF WESTERN AND
NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE INITIALLY
ACROSS PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST NEBRASKA INTO THE WESTERN SANDHILLS
THIS EVENING...WITH COVERAGE EXPANDING ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF THE
AREA THROUGH THE NIGHT. ALTHOUGH CONDITIONS ARE NOT FAVORABLE FOR
STORMS TO BECOME SEVERE...A FEW STORMS MAY BECOME STRONG AND HAVE
THE POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE HAIL AND GUSTY WINDS TO 45 MPH. IN
ADDITION...SINCE RAINFALL HAS BEEN SCARCE DURING THE LAST TWO
WEEKS...LIGHTNING WILL HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE FIRE STARTS
WITH ANY OF THE THUNDERSTORMS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE FRIDAY AS WELL...AND INTO THE
WEEKEND. ALTHOUGH A FEW STORMS MAY BECOME STRONG...THE THREAT OF
WIDESPREAD SEVERE WEATHER IS LOW.

A COLD FRONT IS EXPECTED TO PASS THROUGH THE AREA SUNDAY. ALTHOUGH
TEMPERATURES WILL BE SOMEWHAT COOLER BEHIND THE FRONT...MUCH
DRIER AIR IS ALSO EXPECTED BEHIND THE FRONT. THIS WILL CAUSE
RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES TO DROP INTO THE 15 TO 20 PERCENT RANGE
ACROSS PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST NEBRASKA AND INTO THE WESTERN
SANDHILLS. WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO BE IN THE 15 TO 20 MPH RANGE AS
WELL...WITH HIGHER GUSTS POSSIBLE. THEREFORE HIGH FIRE DANGER IS
EXPECTED BY SUNDAY AFTERNOON. COOLER TEMPERATURES DURING THE FIRST
OF THE WEEK ARE EXPECTED TO REDUCE THE FIRE DANGER THROUGH
WEDNESDAY.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL NOT BE NEEDED THROUGH TONIGHT.
