This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western and
north central Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

Heat index values will peak between 100 and 105 degrees across
Hayes and Frontier Counties this afternoon and early evening
where a heat advisory is in effect.

Isolated strong to briefly severe thunderstorms are possible
today. The best window for thunderstorms is expected to be mid
afternoon through the evening, mainly west and north of a line
from Lewellen to Hyannis, to Taylor. Damaging winds and large
hail
are the main hazards, locally heavy rainfall will be possible as
well.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

Heat index values are likely to reach between 100 to 105 degrees
Friday across parts of southwest and north central Nebraska.
Additional heat advisory may be needed Friday.

Outside of northwest Nebraska, isolated strong to briefly severe
thunderstorms will be possible Friday afternoon and evening.
Damaging winds and hail are the main hazards.

Isolated strong thunderstorms will be possible along and south
of the Interstate 80 corridor Saturday afternoon and evening.
Strong wind gusts and small hail are possible.

The risk of strong to severe thunderstorms is low at this time
beyond Saturday night.
