This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western and
north central Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

Fire weather concerns are elevated Friday across portions of
southwest Nebraska as warm and breezy conditions continue.

A strong cold front will begin to cross the Sandhills on Friday,
setting the stage for thunderstorms. Some storms may be strong or
severe during the late afternoon and evening hour. Damaging wind
is the primary threat, although large hail, very heavy rain, and
frequent lightning are also possible.

The cold front will become stationary over the weekend, allowing
several rounds of precipitation to overspread the region. The
rain will be heavy at times. The potential exists for rainfall
totals exceeding three inches for areas east of Highway 83 by
Monday morning.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
