This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western and
north central Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.
Light snow is expected over northern Nebraska this morning and
will spread south into the Sandhills this morning. Less than an
inch of accumulation expected along the Nebraska South Dakota
border this morning. A mix of rain and snow is possible late
morning with a change over to all rain this afternoon.

Strong northwest winds are likely again this afternoon with gusts
approaching 40 mph in western Nebraska and 30 mph for central
Nebraska. Travel may be difficult for high-profile and lightweight
vehicles.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

Fire weather conditions are elevated Friday, primarily across the
southern panhandle and southwest Nebraska as seasonably mild
temperatures combine with dry air. West winds should remain
generally under 20 mph.
