At 801 PM CDT/701 PM MDT/, Doppler radar indicated an area of light
rain from 6 miles west of White Clay to 21 miles south of Medicine
Lake to 11 miles south of Long Pine, moving northeast at 20 mph.

Rainfall rates of less than one tenth of an inch per hour are
expected this evening.

Heavier rainfall should develop late tonight. This rain will mix
with and change to snow Friday across the Western
Sandhills...generally at elevations above 3000 feet.

This rain was associated with a developing spring storm. The storm
will move into Southwest Nebraska this evening and stall.
Significant rain and snowfall is expected tonight and Friday across
much of Western and North Central Nebraska.

Locations impacted include...
Valentine, Ainsworth, Gordon, Rushville, Bassett, Hay Springs,
Springview, Atkinson, Stuart, Long Pine, Ellsworth, Cody, Merriman,
Newport, Kilgore, Johnstown, Nenzel, Medicine Lake, Rose and
Brownlee.

This includes the following highways...
 Highway 183 between mile markers 154 and 225.
 Highway 20 between mile markers 76 and 297.
 Highway 250 between mile markers 1 and 48.
 Highway 2 between mile markers 99 and 132.
 Highway 61 between mile markers 167 and 231.
 Highway 97 between mile markers 71 and 141.
 Highway 12 between mile markers 1 and 61.
