.NOW...

At 322 AM CDT/222 AM MDT/, Doppler radar indicated scattered showers
and thunderstorms from 15 miles northeast of Gandy to 9 miles
southwest of Champion, moving east at 50 mph.

Most of the thunderstorm activity will remain south of Interstate
80. 1/4 inch of rainfall is possible from the thunderstorms with
lesser amounts from the showers.

This rain was associated with a reinforcing cold front moving
through Western and North Central Nebraska this morning. The rain
should end this morning with clearing skies and temperatures in the
70s this afternoon.

Locations impacted include...
North Platte, Imperial, Grant, Stapleton, Hayes Center, Tryon,
Sutherland, Hershey, Arnold, Wauneta, Paxton, Brady, Wallace,
Maxwell, Madrid, Anselmo, Elsie, Wellfleet, Gandy and Dickens.

This includes the following highways...
 Highway 2 between mile markers 251 and 268.
 Highway 61 between mile markers 25 and 69.
 Highway 92 between mile markers 189 and 272.
 Highway 97 between mile markers 1 and 41.
 Interstate 80 in Nebraska between mile markers 136 and 202.
