AT 611 AM CST DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW
COVERING WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA. THIS SNOW WAS MOVING
SOUTH AROUND AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE LOCATED ACROSS IOWA.

LOCATIONS THAT MAY BE AFFECTED INCLUDE...
LOUP AND CUSTER COUNTIES...HIGHWAY 20 BETWEEN RUSHVILLE AND
VALENTINE...HIGHWAY 97 BETWEEN VALENTINE AND MULLEN...AND IMPERIAL.

THROUGH 930 AM CST...830 AM MST...LIGHT TO OCCASIONAL MODERATE SNOW
WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE SOUTH THROUGH WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL
NEBRASKA PRODUCING ACCUMULATIONS AROUND 1/8 TO 1/4 INCH PER HOUR.
THE POCKETS OF MODERATE SNOW WILL LAST AN HOUR OR LESS. VISIBILITY
WILL FALL TO 1 MILE IN MODERATE SNOW. LOCALLY HEAVY SNOW WILL FALL
ACROSS NORTHERN SHERIDAN COUNTY ALONG AND NORTH OF HIGHWAY 20 WITH
1/2 INCH PER HOUR ACCUMULATIONS.

NORTHWEST WINDS OF 25 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 45 MPH WILL PRODUCE
SIGNIFICANT BLOWING SNOW DURING PERIODS OF MODERATE OR HEAVY SNOW.
THIS WILL REDUCE VISIBILITY TO BETWEEN 1/2 AND 1 MILE AND THIS IS
MOST LIKELY ALONG EAST WEST TRAVEL ROUTES ACROSS NORTHERN NEBRASKA
AND ACROSS SOUTHWESTERN NEBRASKA. SIGNIFICANT DRIFTING IS EXPECTED
TO DEVELOP THIS MORNING AS ACCUMULATIONS APPROACH 2 TO 4 INCHES IN
SOME AREAS OF NORTHERN NEBRASKA.

A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR 3 TO 6 INCHES OF SNOW IS IN EFFECT FOR
SHERIDAN COUNTY TODAY. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR 2 TO 4 INCHES
OF SNOW IS IN EFFECT FOR PARTS OF WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL
NEBRASKA...GENERALLY ALONG AND NORTH OF NEBRASKA HIGHWAY 2 NORTH AND
WEST OF CUSTER COUNTY.
