RADAR WAS TRACKING SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS
PORTIONS OF THE SOUTHEASTERN PANHANDLE...SANDHILLS...AND SOUTHWESTERN
NEBRASKA...WHICH INCLUDES INCLUDES THE INTERSTATE 80 CORRIDOR.
THESE STORMS WERE FORMING ALONG A SURFACE BOUNDARY ORIENTATED ACROSS
THE REGION...AND WERE MOVING SOUTHEAST AT APPROXIMATELY 15 TO 20
MILES PER HOUR. HAIL UP TO THE SIZE OF DIMES...GUSTY WINDS TO 30
MILES PER HOUR...AND BRIEF PERIODS OF HEAVY RAINFALL ARE POSSIBLE
WITH THESE STORMS. IN ADDITION...LIGHTNING MAY ACCOMPANY ANY
STORM...SO THOSE OUTDOORS ARE ENCOURAGED TO GO INDOORS IF A
THUNDERSTORM APPROACHES.
