.NOW...

At 1000 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated numerous showers and
thunderstorms along a line extending from 8 miles northeast of
Norden to 13 miles south of Newport to near Calamus Reservoir State
Recreation Area, moving east at 40 mph. The showers and
thunderstorms extended east through Holt and Boyd Counties.

All of this rain will move east this morning and end from west to
east by noon. Additional scattered showers are expected this
afternoon.

1/4 to 1/2 inch of rainfall is expected in many areas and the
thunderstorms will produce 1/4 inch of rainfall in an hour.

Locations impacted include...
O`neill, Bassett, Spencer, Springview, Atkinson, Stuart, Ewing,
Butte, Long Pine, Chambers, Lynch, Page, Bartlett, Newport, Naper,
Gross, Rose, Amelia, Calamus Reservoir State Recreation Area and
Inman.

This includes the following highways...
 Highway 183 between mile markers 153 and 223.
 Highway 20 between mile markers 245 and 328.
 Highway 281 between mile markers 135 and 222.
 Highway 12 between mile markers 32 and 135.
