.NOW...

At 401 PM CDT/301 PM MDT/, Doppler radar indicated the leading edge
of an area of rain along a line extending from 8 miles northwest of
Norden to 11 miles northeast of Gothenburg. The rain was nearly
stationary and extended west through Southwest Nebraska and the
Panhandle.

A second area of rain is spreading through Southwest Nebraska this
afternoon and should last into the evening across North Central
Nebraska.

1/10 to 1/2 inch of rain is expected this afternoon and this evening
with the best rainfall along and south of Interstate 80...including
Custer County.

Locations impacted include...
North Platte, Ogallala, Valentine, Imperial, Gordon, Grant, Curtis,
Chappell, Rushville, Oshkosh, Hay Springs, Mullen, Big Springs,
Stapleton, Hayes Center, Thedford, Arthur, Tryon, Sutherland and
Hershey.

This includes the following highways...
 Highway 20 between mile markers 75 and 233.
 Highway 250 between mile markers 1 and 48.
 Highway 2 between mile markers 96 and 251.
 Highway 61 between mile markers 26 and 231.
 Highway 92 between mile markers 115 and 264.
 Highway 97 between mile markers 1 and 141.
 Interstate 80 in Nebraska between mile markers 78 and 207.
 Highway 12 between mile markers 1 and 29.
