...Severe Thunderstorms Affected Western and North Central
Nebraska Sunday Evening...

Isolated thunderstorms developed near the Colorado border during the
afternoon hours Sunday and produced strong winds and up to golf ball
size hail in Chase County. Additional storms followed shortly across
the Sandhills and eventually merged with those in southwest
Nebraska. Torrential rain became a threat later in the evening.
Preliminary reports of two to three inches were received around
Custer County, and radar estimates show nearly four inches in spots.
Overall, two watches were issued (one tornado and one severe
thunderstorm), 17 warnings (16 severe thunderstorm and 1 flash
flood), and two flood advisories.
