RETURNED TO AN ACTIVE PATTERN AND ABOVE NORMAL RAINFALL ACROSS
THE AREA. NORTH PLATTE ACTUALLY ENDED UP WITH THE 8TH WETTEST
AUGUST ON RECORD. TYPICALLY JULY IS THE WARMEST MONTH OF THE
YEAR...BY ABOUT 2 DEGREES OVER AUGUST...HOWEVER IN 2014 AUGUST
ENDED UP WARMER THAN JULY...THANKS TO A COOL JULY.

FOR NORTH PLATTE...THE AVERAGE DAILY MEAN TEMPERATURE FOR AUGUST
WAS 73.0 DEGREES...WHICH WAS 0.9 DEGREES ABOVE THE NORMAL OF 72.1
