...POTENT WINTER STORM LEAVES AN IMPACT ON THE REGION...

A STRONG STORM SYSTEM BROUGHT SUBSTANTIAL SNOW TO PARTS OF
NORTHERN NEBRASKA. BESIDES THE SNOW...VICIOUS NORTHWEST WINDS OF
25 TO 35 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS BLASTED THE REGION.

THE HIGHEST REPORTED SNOWFALL OF 15 INCHES OCCURRED NEAR HAY
SPRINGS...WHILE 6 INCHES WAS REPORTED JUST NORTHEAST OF KILGORE IN
CHERRY COUNTY. AT GROSS IN BOYD COUNTY 4 INCHES OF SNOW
OCCURRED...WITH SOME ISOLATED SNOW DRIFTS UP TO 4 FEET.

LOW PRESSURE DEVELOPED SOUTHWARD INTO THE CENTRAL PLAINS ON
MONDAY...AND EVENTUALLY LIFTED NORTHEAST INTO IOWA. BY LATE
TUESDAY EVENING THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WAS OVER THE UPPER GREAT
LAKES...RELAXING THE GRIP ON THE CENTRAL PLAINS.
