BOTH MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES ACROSS WESTERN AND NORTH
CENTRAL NEBRASKA ON SATURDAY...AUGUST 20TH 2016 WERE WELL BELOW
NORMAL FOR THIS TIME OF THE YEAR. LOW TEMPERATURES THIS MORNING FELL
INTO THE 40S AND LOW 50S...WHICH WAS 5 TO NEARLY 15 DEGREES BELOW
NORMAL. THE COLDEST LOCATION ACROSS THE REGION THIS MORNING WAS THE
NORTH PLATTE AIRPORT LOCATED IN LINCOLN COUNTY...WHERE A READING OF
45 DEGREES WAS RECORDED AT 6:06 AM CDT. THE IMPERIAL AIRPORT...WHICH
IS LOCATED IN CHASE COUNTY...CAME WITHIN 2 DEGREES OF TYING A RECORD
LOW TEMPERATURE FOR AUGUST 20TH.

IN ADDITION TO A COOL START THIS MORNING...HIGH TEMPERATURES ON THIS
THIRD WEEK OF AUGUST STRUGGLED ONCE AGAIN INTO THE 70S. THESE
HIGHS...WERE 10 TO NEARLY 15 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL FOR THIS TIME OF
THE YEAR.
