...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FOR THURSDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
EARLY THURSDAY EVENING FOR GUSTY WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY
OVER PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST NEBRASKA...

.Gusty south winds will develop Thursday afternoon, potentially
supporting critical fire weather conditions. Relative humidities
will drop to around 15 percent with lower readings possible.
Gusty south winds to around 25 mph can be expected.

The combination of low relative humidity and gusty winds are
expected to produce critical fire weather conditions.

The National Weather Service in North Platte has issued a Fire
Weather Watch, which is in effect from Thursday afternoon through
Thursday evening.

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zone 210.

* WIND...South at 15 to 25 mph.

* HUMIDITY...Minimum relative humidity around 15 percent.

* IMPACTS...This combination of gusty winds and low relative
  humidities would produce critical fire weather conditions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
Red Flag Warnings.
