A strong upper level low exited western and north central Nebraska
overnight with a second system approaching western and north
central Nebraska from the Four Corners. In advance of the second
low, skies were cloudy across the area overnight. Lows were
generally in the mid to upper 40s across the area.

Later today, thunderstorms are expected to develop off to the
south of the area over Kansas. This activity will then lift north
into western and north central Nebraska this evening. A strong
storm is possible south of Interstate 80, but widespread severe
storms should remain south and east of western and north central
Nebraska. Highs this afternoon will generally be in the 50s.
Occasional showers and thunderstorms are expected tonight with
lows in the upper 30s to lower 40s.
