...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SCOTT...FULTON...CASS...
SCHUYLER...SOUTHWESTERN MASON AND MORGAN COUNTIES THROUGH 500 AM
CDT...

At 410 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Buckhorn, or 18 miles southwest of Rushville, moving northeast at 45
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Jacksonville, Beardstown, Rushville, Lewistown, Virginia, Winchester,
Alexander, South Jacksonville, Ashland, Cuba, Astoria, Meredosia,
Bluff Springs, Avon, Bluffs, Vermont, Franklin, Murrayville,
Chandlerville, and Fairview.

This includes Interstate 72 between mile markers 43 and 79.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 AM CDT for west central
Illinois.
