Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains

The Central High Plains region observed showers and thunderstorms
overnight. At 2am MDT (3am CDT) temperatures ranged from 52 degrees
in Burlington, Colorado to 58 degrees in Hill City, Kansas.

OUTLOOK... Showers and some storms look to linger through the mid
morning hours before becoming warm to hot south of Interstate 70
with highs approaching the low 90s and a bit cooler to the north of
the Interstate with highs in the low to mid 80s. Severe storms are
anticipated to develop during the afternoon and early evening with
large hail, damaging winds and torrential rainfall the primary
hazards. Severe storm potential continues Monday and Monday night
mainly north of Interstate 70. Tuesday will see a cold front move
through with another round of showers and storms. Cooler mid week
with some frost possible across portions of eastern Colorado
Wednesday morning.
