200 PM CDT Thu May 2 2024 /100 PM MDT Thu May 2 2024/

An area of low pressure near the North Dakota and Canada border and
its associated cold front will exit east, allowing any lingering
showers or weak thunderstorms to quickly come to an end during the
evening hours, as dry air moves in.

Temperatures will fall into the mid 30s to near 40 degrees by
daybreak Friday, and rise to near 60 degrees Friday afternoon.

The next area of low pressure shifting across the Central Plains
will push a 40 percent chance of light rain across much of the area
on Friday. Dry weather will remain over north central South Dakota.
