...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of eastern Whiteside
and southeastern Carroll Counties through 100 PM CDT
...

At 1219 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Prophetstown, or 11 miles south of Morrison, moving northeast at 50
mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could cause minor tree limb damage and blow
         around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects
         is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Sterling, Rock Falls, Prophetstown, Tampico, Lyndon, Coleta, Emerson,
Round Grove, Yeoward Addition, Whiteside County Airport, Galt,
Portland Corners, Prophetstown State Recreation Area, Carroll County
Fairgrounds, Penrose, Hamilton Corners, Como, Denrock, Grimes
Addition, and Douglas Park.

This includes Interstate 88 between mile markers 26 and 43.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
