Fire Weather Planning Forecast for New Mexico and Far West Texas

.DISCUSSION...
We will see a drying trend starting today, with min RH`s this
afternoon in the teens in the lowlands and in the 20`s in the
mountains. By Sunday our min RH`s will be in the single digits in
the lowlands and near 10% in area mountains. Our winds will be
well below critical levels today and Saturday, but for Sunday and
much of next week we will have breezy to windy afternoon
conditions. The winds and very dry conditions will lead to
elevated to near critical fire weather conditions most afternoons
next week. Vent rates today and Saturday will be very good to
excellent.
