...The National Weather Service in Peachtree City GA has issued a
Flood Warning for the following rivers in Georgia...

  Cartecay River near Ellijay affecting Gilmer County.

For the Coosawattee River Basin...including Ellijay, Ellijay,
Ellijay, Talking Rock, Hinton, Carters, Pine Chapel, Pine Chapel...
Minor flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM EARLY THIS MORNING TO LATE THIS
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Cartecay River near Ellijay.

* WHEN...From early this morning to late this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 8 feet, Minor flooding continues upstream and
  downstream from the gage off Georgia Highway 52. The flooding
  expands of yards behind townhouses and homes on Riverside Drive.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 4:00 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 7 feet and rising.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 8.1
    feet this morning. It will then fall below flood stage late
    this morning.
  - Flood stage is 7 feet.
