...ON THIS DATE IN WEATHER HISTORY...

In 1968, an F3 tornado formed approximately 11 miles southeast of Leoti,
Kansas and injured about 4 people. The tornado was estimated to be
320 yards wide and traveled 3.6 miles while causing nearly $25,000 in
damages across the area.
