...River Statement For The Tennessee River at Florence...

Runoff from rainfall is expected to cause river levels to rise
rapidly on the Tennessee River at Florence. Although it is not
expected to reach flood stage, some nuisance flooding of lowlands
may still occur. If additional rainfall occurs, the river could
still reach Flood Stage.

The Tennessee River at Florence.
* At 6:15 AM CST Tuesday the stage was 16.3 feet.
* Action stage is 16.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to 16.6 feet this afternoon. It
  will then fall to 13.4 feet early Thursday afternoon. It will rise
  to 13.8 feet early Friday morning. It will then fall again and
  remain below flood stage.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet...Flooding of McFarland Park begins.


All persons with interests along the river should monitor the latest
forecasts, and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect
life and property from rising river levels.Additional information is
available at www.weather.gov.
