...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT WEST CENTRAL JACKSON AND CENTRAL
MADISON COUNTIES THROUGH 515 AM CDT...

At 431 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
northwestern Huntsville, moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 40-50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Huntsville, Madison, Scottsboro, Moores Mill, Redstone Arsenal,
Skyline, Gurley, Alabama A And M University, University Of Alabama In
Huntsville, and Pleasant Groves.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 AM CDT for north central
and northeastern Alabama.
