Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
410 AM CDT Wed May 1 2024

.DISCUSSION...Patchy dense fog will be possible this morning
and again Thursday morning across the southern districts but
elsewhere only patchy light fog is expected. Warmer than normal
temperatures are expected through Monday. Dry weather is expected
through tonight but rain chancres will increase from the west
Thursday as a weak cold front drops into the area and stalls. This
front will remain the focus for rain chances mainly across the
northern half of the area through Saturday before being replaced
by another stalling front Sunday that will prolong rain chances in
the north into Monday.
