.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 314 PM EDT Wed Mar 27 2024
Breezes are beginning to increase as a cold front currently
situated over the Gulf continues to approach the forecast area. A
mix of light showers and an occasional thunderstorm are possible
overnight tonight and into tomorrow morning, with the best chance
for activity around sunrise, but total rainfall amounts are
expected to come in under a tenth of an inch. Overnight lows will
sit in the mid 70s.
Showers taper off as we head into the afternoon hours tomorrow,
leaving behind stronger breezes and drier conditions. Wind
direction changes rapidly, and winds of 15 to 20 mph will be
coming out of the northwest to west by tomorrow night. Occasional
gusts of 30 mph are still expected.
Once the front is well out of our way over the weekend, diminished
winds will turn easterly again and temperatures will be able to
return to the 80s by the beginning of the new work week. Rain
chances will remain minimal through next week.

approaches, and moves through, the forecast area. Moderate to
fresh west to northwesterly breezes persist from tomorrow
afternoon and into the evening hours, but occasional occurrences
of strong breezes out of the north are forecast tomorrow night.
The cold front also brings a mix of shower and thunderstorm
activity during the overnight hours tonight, and tapering off
tomorrow night.
