Widely scattered to isolated thunderstorms will continue across north central Nebraska through early this evening. A few instances of one inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts are possible before activity exits to the north and east. A High Wind Warning has been issued for Sheridan County beginning at 6pm MDT. Please refer to this product for more information. Strong westerly winds will persist overnight with peak speeds nearing 60 mph along the Highway 20 corridor west of Merriman. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday. Strong winds will continue through the early morning before diminishing to less than 50 mph by late morning Tuesday. Elevated to near-critical fire weather concerns will develop Tuesday afternoon, mainly for areas west of Highway 83. The concern is wind gusts of 30 to 40 mph and humidity values falling into the 15 to 25 percent range. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation may be needed. $$
