This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western and north
central Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Showers and thunderstorms will affect the region throughout the day,
slowly tapering from southwest to northeast tonight. Significant
rainfall totals of one inch or greater are possible for north central
Nebraska, mainly near and north of Highway 20. Brief large hail is
also possible through midday for areas near and east of Highway 281.

Northwest winds will be very blustery today in the wake of the strong
cold front. Gusts may reach 60 mph across western Nebraska, primarily
near and west of Highway 83. A High Wind Warning is in effect through
8 PM CDT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

The cooler and wetter pattern continues through the end of the week,
which includes precipitation chances Wednesday into Thursday and then
Saturday into Sunday. In addition to rain, light snow accumulations
are possible with each event for the eastern panhandle and western
Sandhills.
