.VERY MOIST AIR IN PLACE OVER THE OHIO VALLEY TODAY WILL PROVIDE
THE FUEL FOR LARGE THUNDERSTORMS THAT WILL BE CAPABLE OF
PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL TODAY. AN AREA OF STORMS IS FORECAST
TO DEVELOP THROUGH THE EVENING FROM SOUTHERN INDIANA TO WESTERN
KENTUCKY AND MOVE EAST.

* UNTIL 2 AM EDT /1 AM CDT/ SATURDAY

* VERY HEAVY RAINFALL IS EXPECTED TO OCCUR WITH THUNDERSTORMS THIS
  EVENING. 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN COULD FALL IN THE HEAVIER STORMS
  IN A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME. LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS ARE POSSIBLE.

* SOILS OVER SOUTHERN INDIANA AND NORTH OF INTERSTATE 64 IN
  KENTUCKY HAVE RECEIVED FROM TWO TO SIX INCHES OF RAIN IN THE
  PAST WEEK AND ARE MOST SUSCEPTIBLE TO RAPID RUNOFF OF ANY NEW
  RAINFALL...BUT ANY STORM IN THE WATCH AREA WILL BE CAPABLE OF
  PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINS WHICH COULD QUICKLY CAUSE PONDING
  ON ROADS.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
