...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Kentucky, including the
  following counties, Allen, Logan, Monroe and Simpson.

* WHEN...Until 1015 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water
  crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 711 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported flooding in the
    warned area. Flooding is already occurring. Between 3 and 6
    inches of rain have fallen.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Russellville, Scottsville, Franklin, Auburn, Adairville,
    Fountain Run, Salmons, Turnertown, Peden Mill and Schweizer.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
