FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LOUISVILLE KY
339 AM EDT SAT APR 19 2014

.DISCUSSION...

CONDITIONS WILL REMAIN DRY TODAY INTO SUNDAY AS AN AREA OF HIGH PREESURE CONTROLS
THE SENSIBLE WEATHER. NORTHEAST WINDS AROUND 10 MPH THIS AFTERNOON WILL HELP
KEEP DEWPOINTS LOW...RESULTING IN RELATIVE HUMIDITIES AROUND 30 PERCENT
DURING PEAK HEATING. THIS DRY AIRMASS COUPLED WITH DRYING FUELS AND THE
NORTHEATERLY WINDS WILL MAKE FOR AT LEAST A SLIGHTLY ELEVATED WILDFIRE RISK
TODAY. WINDS WILL TURN LIGHTER ON SUNDAY...WHICH SHOULD HELP TO MITIGATE
THE RISK DESPITE SIMILIAR RELATIVE HUMIDITIES.
