.DISCUSSION...HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD INTO THE REGION TONIGHT.
THIS WILL BRING MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES WITH LIGHT AND VARIABLE WINDS.
THE HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE WILL MOVE OFF TO THE EAST ON THURSDAY. AS
THIS OCCURS...A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM AND COLD FRONT WILL MOVE IN
FROM THE NORTHWEST. THIS WILL LEAD TO AN INCREASE IN THE PRESSURE
GRADIENT AND WILL PRODUCE BREEZY CONDITIONS. SURFACE WINDS
THURSDAY AFTERNOON WILL HAVE WINDS OF 15 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP
TO 35 MPH POSSIBLE. THE SOUTHWESTERLY FLOW WILL BRING AN INCREASE
IN MOISTURE TO THE AREA. THEREFORE...AFTERNOON RELATIVE HUMIDITY
VALUES ARE EXPECTED TO DROP INTO THE 35 TO 40 PERCENT RANGE DURING
THE AFTERNOON. WHILE THESE VALUES ARE ABOVE CRITERIA FOR A FIRE
WEATHER WATCH...FIRE DANGER WILL BE AT AN ELEVATED RISK DURING THE
DAY ON THURSDAY DUE TO THE WINDY CONDITIONS.
