Narrative: The tornado touched down northwest of Adairville near the
intersection of Vick Road and Highway 96, where a barn sustained
roof damage and another outbuilding was destroyed. EF-2 damage
occurred sporadically from near Highway 96, just west of the
Logan-Simpson County line. The worst damage occurred north-northeast
of Adairville, where the tornado crossed Highway 663. Several homes
sustained extensive damage, and 3 people were injured as they took
shelter in a first-floor bathroom. A fourth person was injured while
taking shelter in a closet in his home off Trimble Road. The tornado
continued east, crossing into Simpson County just north of the
intersection of Conn Road and Reames Dixon Road. The tornado
weakened after crossing the county line, but continued to produce
EF-0 and EF-1 damage until it lifted along Russellville-Gallatin
Road.
A total of 5 homes sustained extensive damage, and 2 homes sustained
minor damage. Five grain bins were blown away, and 2 others
collapsed. Numerous other outbuildings were damaged or destroyed.
