The information here is very preliminary, since the storm survey is
not yet completed. What is presented here is merely what we know so
far. More details will follow over the course of the day as the
survey progresses.

   Damage Type: Tornado

      EF Scale: 1
    Wind Speed: 100 mph

   Path Length: 1.67 miles so far...survey not yet completed
    Path Width: 50-60 yards

      Injuries: 1

    Start Time: 04:12 PM EDT
Start Location: 0.5 miles S of Paris, KY
 Start Lat/Lon: 38.202/-84.256

      End Time: 04:13 PM EDT
  End Location: 1.24 miles NE of Paris, KY
   End Lat/Lon: 38.217/-84.232

Narrative: The tornado first touched down near Vine Street. Several
homes sustained significant damage including loss of portions of the
roofs and damage to walls and siding. One woman was sucked out of
the house and landed on the driveway. She sustained an injury
requiring several stitches. Multiple trees were downed as well. The
tornado then lifted east of Vine Street for approximately one mile.

The tornado touched down again on the east side of Stoner Creek
Country Club where it caused tree damage. It then moved northeast
where it damaged an attic. The tornado then continued to the
northeast where it caused significant damage to a couple of
warehouses. It then continues northeast, flipping a tanker before
lifting near US-460.

EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the
following categories:

EF0...Weak......65 to 85 MPH
EF1...Weak......86 to 110 MPH
EF2...Strong....111 to 135 MPH
EF3...Strong....136 to 165 MPH
EF4...Violent...166 to 200 MPH
EF5...Violent...>200 MPH
