...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT EASTERN OLDHAM...NORTHWESTERN
SHELBY...SOUTHWESTERN HENRY AND NORTHEASTERN JEFFERSON COUNTIES...

At 746 PM EST, a strong thunderstorm was located over Jeffersontown,
moving northeast at 50 mph.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail are possible with this
storm. Pea-size hail was observed at the NWS office on the south
side of Louisville.

Locations impacted include...
Jeffersontown, Shelbyville, Lyndon, La Grange, Middletown, Douglass
Hills, Hurstbourne, Anchorage, Hurstbourne Acres and Worthington
Hills.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect until 200 AM EST for
central Kentucky.
