...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 PM EST
FOR WESTERN JEFFERSON...NORTHEASTERN CLARK...SOUTHEASTERN SCOTT AND
NORTHERN TRIMBLE COUNTIES...

...Spotter at Henryville exit on Interstate 65 reported 60 mph winds
with this storm...

At 625 PM EST, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles southeast of
Scottsburg, moving northeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Trained weather spotters.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
         tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
         roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Madison, Bedford, Lexington Indiana, Hanover, Saluda, Smyrna,
Milton, Kent, Wakefield and Volga.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside
should move to a shelter, inside a strong building and away from
windows.
