* At 247 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Merrillville,
  moving northeast at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Gary, Portage, Merrillville, Valparaiso, Hobart, Crown Point,
  Chesterton, Lake Station, South Haven, Porter, Winfield, New
  Chicago, Burns Harbor, Ogden Dunes, Town of Pines, Beverly Shores,
