...HAZARDOUS SEAS WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM PDT THURSDAY...
...GALE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM TO 11 PM PDT THURSDAY...
* WHAT...Southwest winds 20 to 30 kt with very steep and hazardous
seas of 10 to 15 ft due to lingering fresh swell and increasing
west swell. Winds increase to gales, 30 to 35 kt with gusts to
40 kt early Thursday morning and seas build to 17 to 19 ft due
to southerly wind waves and a heavy west swell. Seas remain
steep, but gradually diminish Thursday night into Friday.
* WHERE...All areas.
* WHEN...For the Hazardous Seas Warning, until 5 AM PDT
Thursday. For the Gale Warning, from 5 AM to 11 PM PDT
Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Strong winds and very steep seas could capsize or
damage vessels. Low visibility conditions are expected.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Scattered thunderstorms are expected
Thursday and will have the potential to produce brief periods of
strong gale gusts to 50 kt as well as small hail.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Mariners should alter plans to avoid strong winds and very steep
seas. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or

...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO
11 PM PDT THURSDAY...
* WHAT...Southwest winds 20 to 30 kt with very steep and hazardous
seas of 10 to 15 ft due to lingering fresh swell and increasing
west swell. West swell builds further Thursday morning, with
seas increasing to 15 to 17 ft. Seas remain steep, but gradually
diminish Thursday night into Friday.
* WHERE...All areas.
* WHEN...For the Hazardous Seas Warning, until 5 PM PDT this
afternoon. For the Small Craft Advisory, from 5 PM this
afternoon to 11 PM PDT Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Very steep and hazardous seas could capsize or
damage vessels. Bar crossings will become especially
treacherous.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Isolated thunderstorms are possible
Thursday and will have the potential to produce brief periods of
gale force gusts of 40 to 50 kt as well as small hail.

Recreational boaters should remain in port. Commercial vessels
