...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN COCKE...SOUTHEASTERN
GREENE...SOUTHWESTERN UNICOI AND EAST CENTRAL SEVIER COUNTIES THROUGH
MIDNIGHT EDT...

At 1131 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 7 miles north of Hot Springs to 6 miles north
of Smoky Mountains-Big Creek to Gatlinburg. Movement was east at 45
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Gatlinburg, Smoky Mountains-Balsam Mountain, Pittman Center, Del Rio,
Round Mountain, Cosby, Hartford, Rocky Fork, Max Patch, and
Waterville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
