.DISCUSSION...
The warming trend will continue through Wednesday with high
temperatures 5 to 10 degrees above average for inland areas. A
weak trough will pass over the region later on Wednesday through
Friday. This will cool temperatures slightly, increase winds across
the mountains and build a deeper marine layer. West winds will
increase across the mountains and deserts on Wednesday through Friday.
Wednesday afternoon and night will the windiest period with gusts 35-50
MPH across mountain passes into the adjacent deserts. Cloud cover will
be abundant west of the mountains by Thursday and Friday mornings west
of the mountains. A weak area of high pressure will return for the
weekend, weakening winds and raising temperatures to 10-15 degrees above
average readings for inland areas by Sunday and Monday. A cooling trend
will then occur into the middle of next week.
