.DISCUSSION...

With high pressure now well east of the region and an area of low
pressure shifting south into West Texas, 20ft south winds will be
increasing throughout today to near 10-15 mph this afternoon with
higher gusts upwards of 20-25 mph across East Texas and Southeast
Oklahoma. Warm temperatures are expected this afternoon with highs
averaging in the mid 70s. With increasing Gulf moisture, dewpoints
will climb back into the 50s later on today with minimum RH values
generally averaging around 50-55 percent this afternoon and higher
through the rest of this week. Afternoon mixing heights will range
between 3500-4000 feet today with very good mixing and dispersion.
By later this evening and overnight, a weak cold front will shift
south along the Red River Valley and may result in some isolated
showers and thunderstorms over our northern fire districts across
Southeast Oklahoma in addition to some patchy fog after midnight.
