...Preliminary Storm Survey Scheduled for This Afternoon for the
Area Near Frierson and Southwest Sabine Parish in Desoto and
Sabine Parishes in Northwest Louisiana...

The National Weather Service office in Shreveport will conduct a
storm survey this afternoon for the area near Frierson in
Northeast Desoto Parish and in the Kite`s Landing area of
Southwest Sabine Parish in Northwest Louisiana. The survey is in
relation to the severe thunderstorms that moved through the area
during the afternoon on Tuesday, April 9th.

A final assessment including results of the survey are expected
to be completed and transmitted via a Public Information
Statement by this evening.

The storm survey information will also be available on our
website at http://www.weather.gov/shv
